Lu

Lu is an Artist at Guru Tattoo’s Pacific Beach location in San Diego, CA. With a passion for tattooing that began in Montreal, Quebec in 2006, Lu has cultivated a diverse background, working in various countries including Norway, Iceland, Australia, France, and Germany. He describes tattooing as “a wild ride full of adventure, meaning, and commitment that connects people in a very special way,” affirming that he couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

His specialties include American Traditional, Black & Gray, Color, Japanese, European Traditional, Blackwork, Fine Line, and Ornamental styles. Lu particularly enjoys classic American Traditional imagery, featuring iconic designs like tall ships, eagles, wolves, daggers, and roses. He also draws inspiration from the mysterious and unknown, often incorporating elements of the afterlife and outer space into his unique creations. Lu finds working at Guru Tattoo to be a dream, appreciating the studio’s professionalism, reputation, and the energy that fuels his creative boundaries. When not crafting tattoos, Lu can be found indulging his interests in riding his motorcycle or surfing.
