Sam Tyson (they/them) is a highly talented tattooer and co-founder of Silly Goose Studios, based in Hamilton, Ontario. With a passion for nostalgic and bold designs, Sam specializes in cartoon and pop culture tattoos, often drawing inspiration from animation, graphic novels, horror movies, drag, music, and the vibrant aesthetics of the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s. Their portfolio also includes fun and vibrant interpretations of flowers, animals, plants, and food. Having begun their tattooing career at just 18 while earning a Bachelor of Arts degree, Sam brings a blend of academic insight and creative energy to their work. As part of a trans couple, they are deeply committed to centering their art around 2SLGBTQIA+ experiences, fostering a welcoming and relatable artistic space. Beyond their striking tattoo artistry, Sam is recognized for their unique personal style and their lively communication, often expressed through movie and TV references.
