Josh Arment is the owner and lead tattoo artist, affectionately known as the “HMIC” (Head Monkey In Charge), at The Aloha Monkey Tattoo and Piercing in Burnsville, Minnesota. Building upon a rich lineage that traces back to legendary artists Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins and Mike “Rollo Banks” Malone, Arment was personally mentored by Malone, inheriting a deep respect for traditional Japanese and American tattooing. His unique path, influenced by punk rock, hip-hop, and skateboarding culture, informs his approach to the craft. Under his leadership, The Aloha Monkey has evolved into one of the most respected tattoo shops in North America, renowned for world-class tattooing.
