Allan Buhl

Allan Buhl is a Tattoo Artist and the Founder of Heatwave Tattoo in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Originally from Ecuador and raised in the dynamic culture of Fort Lauderdale, he brings a deeply personal and masterful approach to his craft. Allan’s artistic journey, ignited by his late cousin Gabriel, led him to a traditional apprenticeship at the renowned Vatican Tattoo, where he honed his skills in every aspect of tattooing, from bold linework to intricate composition. With over a decade of experience, Allan specializes in Black & Gray Realism, Chicano-style work, Fine Line & Single Needle, and American Traditional designs. His work is celebrated for its depth, precision, and emotional resonance. In 2020, Allan founded Heatwave Tattoo, a studio built on passion and a commitment to fostering an inspiring and valued space for both artists and clients. Fluent in English, Spanish, and German, Allan brings a global perspective to his work, guided by the principle: “You’re only as good as your last tattoo.” Outside the studio, he is a proud father, a beach enthusiast, and a creative spirit who finds inspiration in everyday moments.
