Owen Oakley Jensen (1891-1977) was a prominent tattoo artist who made his mark on The Pike in Long Beach, first working there in 1929. With a background as a machinist, he parlayed his skills into crafting tattoo machines before learning the art of tattooing itself. Jensen worked alongside Lee Roy Minugh at 26 Chestnut and also for a period with Bert Grimm at 22 Chestnut. Beyond his tattooing, he managed a successful tattoo supply company, demonstrating his comprehensive involvement in the industry. His career was extensive, spanning decades on the West Coast.
