Profile
Thomas Yeoman, widely known as “Hong Kong Tom,” was a tattoo artist who worked at the legendary Bert Grimm’s on The Pike in Long Beach. As the half-brother of Donald Nolan, he contributed to the vibrant atmosphere of the thriving shop, which was noted for its “brilliant, gaudy success” and large crowds. While specific details about his style remain limited, Hong Kong Tom is mentioned in Ed Hardy’s book “Wear Your Dreams,” affirming his presence and contribution to the historical Long Beach tattoo scene. Tragically, he passed away while incarcerated.
