Truth

Truth, also known as Eric Jefferson Sr., is the Owner and Lead Artist at Truth’s Tattoos in Louisville, Kentucky. A classically trained fine artist, Truth began drawing at age eight and further refined his skills at duPont Manual High School, Louisville’s renowned arts magnet school. He masterfully blends classical art principles with modern tattoo techniques, creating custom designs that are both timeless and contemporary. Truth specializes in black and gray realism, color portraits, intricate script lettering, and large-scale pieces, ensuring each tattoo is a unique masterpiece.

Beyond his artistry, Truth is a decorated martial artist, holding an 8th-degree black belt in Goju Ryu and inducted into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame as ‘Master of the Year’ in 2010. He is also a proud veteran and a dedicated community mentor, actively teaching martial arts through Metro Parks and the JCPS school system. Under his leadership, Truth’s Tattoos is recognized as a Black-owned, veteran-owned, LGBTQ+ friendly, and transgender safe space, reflecting his deep commitment to inclusivity and community enrichment. His clients consistently praise his talent, professionalism, and warm, down-to-earth approach.
