Andrew Hoch

Andrew Hoch is a talented artist at Empire Tattoo in Quincy, MA, where tattoos have held a special place in his heart since his teenage years. He began his tattooing journey in 2005 and later apprenticed under Keith Miller in October 2016. Andrew is particularly drawn to New School styles, appreciating the intricate plays on texture, proportion, and color, and finds immense joy in incorporating vibrant colors into his work. With an undergraduate degree in Biology and a minor in art, he is fascinated by the intersection of science and art. Beyond tattooing, he paints, illustrates (covering medical, scientific, and fantasy themes), and engages in graphic design and drawing. Andrew is influenced by masters like Da Vinci and Dali, alongside contemporary artists such as Greg ‘Craola’ Simkins, Jeff Maricola, Timmy B, and Andrés Acosta. He continually strives for improvement through dedicated study and practice, pushing the boundaries of his craft. In his leisure time, Andrew is a passionate rock climber, personal trainer, and enjoys various outdoor activities and playing music.
