Amy Ramirez

Amy Ramirez is an apprentice artist at Empire Tattoo in Quincy, MA, where she is mentored by Damon Butler. A proud first-generation Vietnamese-American, born in Boston and raised in Quincy, Amy has been drawing since childhood, using art as a vital creative outlet. Her life experiences and cultural heritage are profound inspirations, leading her to merge modern abstract and Southeast Asian styles in her artwork. Amy began seriously pursuing tattooing after getting her first tattoo at Empire in 2018. She holds a degree in Exercise Health Science with a minor in Art History from UMASS Boston. After graduating in 2023, she dedicated herself to a full-time apprenticeship, mastering fundamental tattoo styles including American Traditional, fine line, black and grey, and color. Officially licensed in February 2025, Amy’s primary focus is on perfecting fine line, black and grey, and color realism to create bespoke, high-quality customized works of art.
