Carlos Figueroa is a co-owner and artist at Primal Instinct Tattoo in Anchorage, AK. His artistic journey began in Mexico, continued through Northern California, and solidified during his time in the Marine Corps, where fellow Marines encouraged him to pursue tattooing. After a formal apprenticeship in 2007, he co-founded Primal Instinct Tattoo with his wife Danielle. Carlos’s diverse artistic repertoire draws inspiration from his Hispanic heritage, military background, and love for nature. He specializes in black and grey, neo-traditional compositions, Japanese styles with a modern twist, and geometric patterns, taking particular pride in designing large custom tattoos.
