Rachel Volk is a resident artist at Black Magic Tattoo in Des Moines, Iowa, having started her tattooing journey in 2022. Growing up in the Des Moines area, Rachel has cultivated her artistic skills through various mediums, including drawing, painting, and digital art, which ultimately led her to the tattoo industry. While she is continuously expanding her repertoire, Rachel particularly enjoys creating whimsical, cute, and American traditional designs, as well as pieces with a ‘badass’ edge. She draws inspiration from the local drag scene, goth culture, film, animation, and live music, dedicating herself to providing a safe and comfortable space for all her clients.
