Jon Whitman

Jon Whitman is a highly experienced tattoo artist at Strange Brew Tattoo & Body Piercing in Westminster, Vermont. With an artistic foundation cultivated from an early age under the guidance of his father, comic artist Maurice Whitman, and further refined through formal training at institutions like the School of Art & Design, NYC, Jon’s journey in tattooing began after overcoming a significant hand injury. He honed his craft through an apprenticeship with Peggy Spargo at The Illustrated Man in New Haven, CT, and went on to establish his own successful studios before joining Strange Brew Tattoo. Deeply rooted in a love for old-school and traditional tattooing, inspired by icons such as Sailor Jerry, Lyle Tuttle, and Zeke Owen, Jon continuously expands his knowledge to incorporate new styles. He also possesses a unique specialization in cosmetic and surgical reconstructive tattooing, which he performs under medical supervision.
