Mark Weiland

Mark Weiland is the owner and founder of INK Tattoo Studio in Dubuque, Iowa, which he established in November 2008 as the city’s first all-disposable tattoo studio. With a BFA in Fine Arts with an emphasis in drawing and painting from Iowa State University (2008), Mark has been tattooing since 2005, bringing over two decades of experience to his craft. He is renowned for his exceptional versatility, adeptly working in nearly every style, including traditional, bio-mechanical, geometric, illustration, Japanese, neo-traditional, new school, Polynesian, realism, lettering, American traditional, and watercolor, in both color and black and white. Mark is committed to producing the highest quality tattoos with an eco-friendly approach, prioritizing minimal waste through his all-disposable practice. As a practicing fine artist, he continues to work with various mediums beyond tattooing, and he now particularly focuses on larger custom projects. Driven by a personal need for gentle skincare, Mark also founded Alchemy Oils LLC and developed WIP Butter, an organic, fair-trade moisturizer designed for sensitive skin, usable before, during, and after the tattooing process.
