Matt Crow is the esteemed Founder of Mountain Rose Tattoo in Hailey, Idaho. With a unique background as a surfer and a U.S. Coast Guard veteran, Matt’s journey into tattooing began with a serendipitous meeting with renowned artist Henry Goldfield and a rekindled reverence for his grandfather’s Sailor Jerry tattoos. He completed a traditional tattoo apprenticeship while still serving, honing his craft on sailors and soldiers across the country. Matt specializes in American Traditional, black and gray, blackwork, and Japanese tattoos, creating bold, lasting artwork. For him, tattooing transcends mere art; it’s a profound human experience, ensuring clients leave with not only exceptional ink but also a meaningful connection. A devoted family man, Matt is often found biking, snowboarding, surfing, or practicing jiu-jitsu with his loved ones, embodying a vibrant, adventurous spirit.
