Big Island Mike Castillo is a House Artist at Skin Deep Tattoos & Piercing in Oahu, Hawaii. He began his tattooing career in 2001, completing an apprenticeship under the legendary Mark Mahoney at the Shamrock Social Club in Hollywood, CA, with guidance from Rick Walters and Freddy Negrete. Mike is particularly recognized for his work within the action sports community, having tattooed prominent figures such as Travis Pastrana, the Nitro Circus crew, and Weeman of the Jackass crew. While proficient in all styles of tattooing, his preferred specialty is black and gray fineline pieces. Outside of the studio, Mike is an avid BMX rider and has served as a BMX judge for the X-Games for over two decades.
