Dutch is the owner and head artist at Surfing Samurai Tattoo in Merritt Island, Florida. With nearly two decades of experience in the industry, he brings a wealth of skill and artistry to his craft. Dutch completed comprehensive apprenticeships in both tattooing and piercing, establishing a strong foundation for his diverse practice. He is particularly renowned for his expertise in Tebori, traditional Japanese handpoke tattooing—an ancient method he diligently studied across multiple continents, including Japan, directly from the Masters. As one of only a handful of artists in the U.S. and the third in Florida to offer this intricate technique, he is dedicated to preserving this sacred art form. Beyond Tebori, Dutch is proficient in a wide array of styles, including traditional, oriental, realism, black and grey, and fine line work. His impressive portfolio also includes tattooing notable figures, such as Rome, the lead singer of the rock band ‘Sublime’.
