Amanda Boik is an artist at Dead Drift Tattoo in Lakewood, Colorado, having joined the crew in Fall 2022 after relocating to Denver. Originally from Eastern Washington, Amanda pursued her passion for art and storytelling through a Literature course and a B.S. in Video Game Design before shifting to tattooing in January 2016, where she found her true calling. She excels in a variety of styles, with a particular focus on highly detailed black-and-grey illustrations, clean geometry, and microrealism. Amanda’s favorite subjects include animals, insects, lady faces, and creating intricate collage pieces with surrealist elements, though she is always open to new challenges, including color work. Outside of tattooing, she enjoys reading mystery thrillers, exploring local art and music, and is a certified cat lady and 2000s emo kid at heart.
