Andy Johnson is a highly experienced tattoo artist at Sailor’s Ink in Morgan Hill, California, bringing over 30 years of dedication to his craft. He began his apprenticeship in Coyote, California, in 1993, and has since perfected his artistry throughout the Bay Area. Andy specializes in expertly executed cover-ups and is adept across a diverse range of styles, including Traditional Americana, Traditional Japanese, Black/Grey, Floral designs, Realism, Biomechanical, Color work, Lettering, and Tribal. Beyond his tattooing, Andy is a passionate artist who enjoys painting and creating new flash sheets. He also builds and tunes his own tattoo machines for himself and other artists across the nation, a practice he’s maintained for over 25 years. Andy approaches every piece with confidence, continually embracing the ‘mysterious magic’ of tattooing and feeling blessed to be a part of the industry.
