Ryan Holden

Ryan Holden is the acclaimed owner and lead artist at Legacy Ink Tattoos, his private studio located in Nanaimo, BC. With over 18 years of experience, Ryan began his tattooing journey in 2003, training for more than five years under Brian Martin at Brian’s Tattoo Studio in Abbotsford. After his apprenticeship, he spent seven years traveling and tattooing across South America, Europe, and Africa, enriching his artistry with diverse global influences.

Returning to Vancouver Island in 2014, Ryan established Legacy Ink Tattoos, where he is celebrated for his distinctive and detailed style. He specializes in intricate mandalas, repeat patterns, and a refined blend of bold and fine lines, often incorporating large areas of solid black and strategic negative space. His custom-designed pieces are known for their strong readability, depth, and ergonomic fit, crafted with an extremely detail-oriented approach.
