Laura Usowski is the owner and founder of La Loba Tattoo, which opened its doors in Hamden, CT, in June of 2024. A Connecticut native, Laura holds a BFA from Southern Connecticut State University and began her tattooing career in 1997. She specializes in a diverse range of styles, including bold color, soft black and gray, fine line, and illustrative designs. Notably, Laura also provides post-mastectomy reconstructive areola tattooing. With a career that includes working in multiple shops and co-owning a studio for 16 years, Laura is a seasoned artist dedicated to her craft. Her artistic contributions extend beyond tattooing; she has been featured in art shows, books, and documentaries, and is an advocate for the arts. When she’s not tattooing, Laura is often painting, with prints of her work available at the studio.
