Darryl Thompson is the esteemed founder and owner of Oakland Ink. Starting his journey by tattooing himself, he later honed his skills under the guidance of dedicated artists in a shop environment. Darryl developed a unique style of tattooing known as “hustle,” which ultimately inspired him to open Oakland Ink, creating his vision of tattoo culture within his storefront shop. Beyond tattooing, he is an accomplished airbrush painter, body painter, and graphic designer. When not at the studio, Darryl enjoys spending time with his family or playing one of his many musical instruments.
