Have been working on a complete re-do of my left arm sleeve w Tess. I think we’re five, six sessions in. To some, that may seem like a lot of time, but it ms because the crew at Black Poodle take the time and care to get to know their clientele-what they want, what would work for the piece (including a killer alternative if the original idea just won’t quiet work, which is more about layout or some other factor, not their inability to do it-believe me, there’s more than enough talent in every artist in the shop to give you exactly what you want). Tess had a MONUMENTAL job re-doing my sleeve-re-lining every feather, working w me on a complicated color pallet and layout choice for it, re-shaping it, refreshing old pieces, adding color to black and grey pieces in it, and adding new pieces. I can’t say enough good things about the black poodle crew. I’m an old hat, I didn’t have the tattoo bug anymore, was just gonna be limited to memorial tats and things w deep meaning. But seeing the talent and creativity in that shop, the bug got me again and I’ll be back for numerous pieces, hopefully one from each artist., Best ink crew in NC, hands down!
