Al Perez is a seasoned tattoo artist at Black Crow Studio in Salt Lake City, Utah, with 15 years of professional experience. Born in Galveston, Texas, and having spent most of his life in Utah, Al felt a strong pull towards art from a young age, knowing early on that he would become a tattoo artist. He describes his distinctive style as gothic neo-traditional or illustrated realism. Al typically undertakes larger-scale projects, favoring black and gray work with occasional color infusion. He particularly enjoys tattooing lady faces, skulls, dark/gothic characters, animals, anime-inspired designs, and cover-ups, while always remaining open to clients’ unique ideas. Outside the studio, Al cherishes time with his wife, two boys, and animals, and tackles various personal projects.
