Alan Dippold

Alan Dippold is an artist at Empire Tattoo in Pittsburgh, PA, and has been continuously working in the industry for 19 years since beginning his apprenticeship in 2005. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Alan initially pursued animation studies at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 2003, though this path proved unsuitable due to his strong aversion to computers. After a brief period as a freelance character designer, he found his true calling in tattooing. Alan specializes in black and grey, Japanese, illustrative, neo-traditional, and fine line works. In his spare time, he enjoys video games, comics, and watching Saturday morning cartoons with his fiancé.
