Alan Dippold is an artist at Empire Tattoo in Pittsburgh, PA, where he was also born and raised. His artistic journey began in 2003 at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, pursuing animation, though his strong dislike for computers led him down a different path. After a brief period working freelance in character design, Alan began his tattoo apprenticeship in 2005. With 19 years of continuous work in the industry, he specializes in black and grey, Japanese, illustrative, neo-traditional, and fine line works. In his spare time, Alan enjoys video games, comics, and watching Saturday morning cartoons with his fiancé.
