Amy Ramirez is a licensed artist at Empire Tattoo in Quincy, MA. A proud first-generation Vietnamese-American, born in Boston and raised in Quincy, Amy has been drawing and painting since childhood, finding deep creative expression through her art. Her work is significantly inspired by her life experiences and cultural heritage, often merging modern abstract with Southeast Asian styles. Amy’s serious pursuit of art intensified after getting her first tattoo at Empire in 2018. She studied Exercise Health Science with a minor in Art History at UMASS Boston, during which time she dedicated herself to daily drawing practice. After graduating in 2023, she became a full-time apprentice at Empire Tattoo under the mentorship of Damon Butler, mastering fundamental styles including American Traditional, fine line, black and grey, and color. Officially licensed in February 2025, her primary focus is on perfecting fine line, black and grey, and color realism to create unique, customized works of art.
