Asa Castle is the esteemed owner of Black Rose Tattoo, Lexington’s first downtown tattoo shop, established in 2017. Their expertise spans American traditional, ornate, folk, and tribal designs, often drawing inspiration from the shop’s extensive collection of hand-painted flash and customary tools. Beyond their work at Black Rose, Asa is also the founder of Castle Pigment Company, specializing in small batch powder pigments for tattooers, further highlighting their deep commitment to the craft.
