His tattooing journey began in 1998 with an apprenticeship at Fine Line Tattoo in Houston, Texas, where he mastered traditional American motifs and techniques. Moving to San Diego in 2003, Chris further refined his craft at respected shops like Avalon Tattoo 2, expanding his knowledge through extensive travels across the US, Australia, and Asia. While traditional American and Japanese tattooing remains his deepest passion, Chris is also highly skilled in black and grey, fine line, and neo-traditional techniques. He excels at crafting a diverse range of custom designs, from minimalist script and realistic portraits to conceptual blackwork, always aiming to infuse elegance and innovation into each piece. Chris is dedicated to collaborating with clients to create lasting, meaningful tattoos that honor classic traditions while exploring new artistic ground.
