Chucho has been professionally tattooing since 1994, making his mark at Tattoo City in Lockport, Illinois. His vibrant, bold, and strikingly direct tattoo designs are instantly recognizable to collectors. Chucho’s artistic foundation was built at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, where he earned an Associates of Fine Arts Degree in Art/Illustration. He further honed his skills through in-depth studies in painting and stone carving, mentored by Master Stone Carvers from Zimbabwe and Master Painter Patrick Betaudier. An accomplished artist beyond tattooing, Chucho’s murals and sculptures adorn public spaces across the Midwest, including Joliet, IL, and his artwork has been exhibited throughout the United States and Europe. He has also dedicated his time to teaching mural painting for After School Matters in Chicago. Chucho is an award-winning tattooist, with numerous national accolades and six published articles spanning a decade. He embraces all designs, large or small, committed to delivering the best possible tattoo for every client.
