Dan “The Man” is a highly accomplished tattoo artist based at THE LOOK STUDIO in Bluffton, SC. With a lifelong passion for art that garnered him early recognition, Dan’s journey into tattooing began in a piercing shop in Waikiki, following a background in electrical engineering. His artistic foundation is deeply rooted in realism, a style he has honed to perfection.

Dan excels in various forms of realism, specializing in intricate small pieces, captivating portraits often rendered with a painterly touch, and vibrant insect tattoos where he masterfully captures iridescent effects. His artistry is significantly influenced by his experiences in Japan, where he delved into its culture and poetry. This appreciation for seasonal themes is beautifully integrated into his Japanese traditional tattoo designs. Outside of his work at the studio, Dan is also an avid oil painter, frequently capturing the natural beauty of Hilton Head Island. He draws immense inspiration from his role as a father, finding beauty and wonder in the everyday world.
