Dave, the founder and owner of American Art Tattoo in Newark, DE, established the studio in 1990. While he occasionally still tattoos, Dave has largely passed the torch to his talented team, focusing primarily on piercing services. He began his piercing apprenticeship in 1994 and further solidified his expertise by becoming Board Certified with the Academy of Micropigmentation in advanced Sterilization and Bloodborne Pathogen prevention in 2005. With ongoing certifications, including an updated piercing instruction in 2024, Dave consistently strives for self-improvement, maintaining the highest standards in the industry.
