Erik Angelini is a co-owner and master artist at Cryptic Ink Tattoo Studio in Louisville, Kentucky. With an impressive career spanning over 30 years, Erik began his journey as an apprentice to Louisville legend “Tattoo Charlie” Wheeler in 1993. His extensive background in art, particularly crafting horror props and designing immersive haunted attractions like “Beyond the Darkness,” deeply influences his unique approach to custom tattooing. Erik is celebrated for his professionalism, collaborative design process, and exceptionally clean, high-quality work, which has earned him a loyal clientele, including notable personalities such as UK basketball player Derek Anderson and Jeffrey Nothing of Mushroomhead. Beyond his prolific tattooing, Erik is a multifaceted creative, known for his community involvement through car shows and charity events, and is currently developing “The Grave Escape” escape room experience under the Cryptic Ink brand.
