His career began with an unconventional apprenticeship at “Tattoos by Doug” in Mansfield, Ohio, where he famously traded an old Mazda B5000 for invaluable hands-on knowledge in needle crafting and the intricate tattooing process. After honing his skills and establishing his strengths over a decade at his own successful shop in Mt Vernon, Ohio, Ernie joined Warlocks Tattoo in 2001 and has been an integral part of the studio ever since. He specializes in the black and grey arena and also maintains a strong interest in traditional American styles, always embracing versatility to bring his clients’ unique visions to life.
