Gale Watkins is a pioneering artist in the Maryland tattoo scene, notably recognized as the state’s first female tattoo artist, an accomplishment she achieved 35 years ago. Having been taught the trade by her husband, Dennis Watkins, she became an integral part of Tattoo Charlie’s Baltimore. Following Dennis’s passing in 2008, Gale took charge of the historic studio, ensuring its legacy continued.
