Jeff Clark

Jeff Clark is the owner and founder of Scorpio Rising Tattoo, a private, by-appointment studio located in the historic State Theatre building in Portland, Maine. He began his tattooing career in 2009 in Brooklyn, NY, before returning to his home state of Maine in 2016 and establishing Scorpio Rising Tattoo in 2021.

Jeff specializes in a diverse range of styles, including Illustrative, Fineline, Black and Grey, and Realism. He also enjoys working with stippling and etching techniques. His artistic versatility extends to a wide array of subjects, particularly animal portraits, insects, nature scenes, botanicals, and portraiture. Jeff is highly regarded for his crisp linework and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring each piece is a custom, one-of-a-kind work of art.

The studio itself reflects Jeff’s commitment to a calm and creative experience, often described by clients as welcoming. Beyond tattooing, the space also serves as his personal workspace for creating large-scale oil paintings, which clients are invited to browse. Visitors are often greeted by Ozzy, Jeff’s friendly miniature dachshund, adding to the comfortable atmosphere, complete with complimentary snacks and beverages.
