Joe Winkler’s path to tattooing at Elite Ink Tattoos is a testament to his persistence. Originally an engineer who graduated from The Citadel in 2008, he transitioned into tattooing after an economic downturn led to a layoff in 2010. Following a year and a half of dedicated effort, Joe secured an apprenticeship at Elite Ink Tattoos in May 2014, officially becoming a tattoo artist in September 2016. His style is notably versatile, though he particularly enjoys new-traditional and illustrative realism colorwork. Joe thrives on custom work that allows him artistic freedom, consistently producing exceptional tattoos for his clients.
