Kal (they/them) is a tattoo artist at Alt F4 Studio in Toronto, celebrated for their whimsical and imaginative style that vibrantly highlights the beauty and diversity of Black people. Since completing their apprenticeship in August 2020, Kal has dedicated themselves to developing a truly unique artistic voice. Their work masterfully blends vibrant colours and playful elements with rich storytelling and distinctive characters, focusing heavily on themes of empowerment and representation. Kal creates tattoos and illustrations that are often esoteric in nature, celebrating the joy and pride of individuality within a greater community.
