Kirk Sheppard is an internationally published tattoo artist and accomplished fine artist based at Urge 3 in Penticton, BC. Born in Penticton, Kirk moved to Vancouver in 1999 to learn tattooing, returning to his hometown where he has been tattooing since 2001. His extensive fine art background, which includes watercolor, ink, acrylics, colored pencils, and chalk, heavily influences his tattoo work. Kirk specializes in traditional tattoo imagery, encompassing both Western and Eastern styles, as well as lowbrow and pin-up art from the 1940s onwards. He is also the co-author and illustrator of “The Tattoo Colouring Books” and is committed to expanding his repertoire with more Japanese-influenced art and tattooing.
