Lauren is an artist at Slowpoke Tattoo in Anaheim, California, whose deep artistic roots inform their captivating work. Having drawn since childhood, they received extensive formal art training from master oil painter and pastellist Claudia Post, and holds a BFA from SMFA Boston. After moving to Orange County in 2018, Lauren completed their apprenticeship in 2021. Their preferred subject matter consistently features animals and creatures, from canines to cryptids and their own unique designs. Heavily inspired by their New England origins, they excel at dark, spooky work reminiscent of cold autumn nights, old graveyards, haunted houses, and glowing jack-o-lanterns, and always welcomes the opportunity to freehand a tattoo.
