Luma Brieuc

Luma Brieuc is a professional henna artist and the founder of Lumanessence, a pioneering company in Montréal that has been offering quality henna tattoo services since 2002. Based in her private studio near the Jean-Talon metro station, Luma is celebrated for her exceptional talent in freehand henna artistry, often improvising intricate designs inspired by traditional Indian motifs without the need for predefined stencils. With over two decades of self-taught experience, Luma’s passion for henna emerged after discovering a book on the ancient art form. Her professionalism and unique artistic approach have led to collaborations with notable clients across corporate, artistic, and cultural sectors, including Hasbro, Bell, L’Oréal, Les Productions Feeling (Céline Dion), Cirque du Soleil, and various museums. Beyond temporary henna tattoos, Lumanessence also provides custom henna-style designs for those considering permanent tattoos and creates beautiful, stylized henna murals for interior spaces. A multidisciplinary artist, Luma also dedicates time to her work as a set photographer when not at her studio or at special events.
