Omar, known professionally as Oms (pronounced OHMS), is a highly seasoned artist and co-owner of Revolution Tattoo in Chicago, IL. With a career spanning over 25 years in professional tattooing, Omar began refining his craft in 1994. He co-founded Revolution Tattoo in 2004 alongside his wife, Cheri Basak, with a clear vision to establish a studio that equally prioritized both artist and client comfort and creativity.
Oms is celebrated for his exceptional versatility, expertly handling a diverse range of styles. His specializations include black & grey photo-realism, illustrative blackwork, and detailed pet portraiture. He also demonstrates proficiency in graphic ornamental tribal-inspired designs, traditional Americana, and Japanese-inspired artwork.
