Raquel Cude

Raquel Cude is the artist and owner of The Honey-Eyed Hare, a private studio located in Naugatuck, CT. With over 15 years of experience across a wide variety of artistic mediums, Raquel brings a rich background to her tattooing. She draws much of her inspiration from mythology, old children’s stories, and the natural world, specializing in creating art that blends botanical, animal, and fantastical elements. Her journey in tattooing began with an apprenticeship at Graphic Images in West Haven, followed by a year working at Dublin Ink in Ireland. For twelve and a half years, she honed her skills and artistic voice at FTS Gallery under George Perham. Two years ago, Raquel established her own studio, The Honey-Eyed Hare, where she now works as the sole artist. Beyond tattooing, she is also an accomplished illustrator, creating collaborative illustrations for books, including a special edition of Shirley Jackson’s “We Have Always Lived in the Castle.” Her professional approach and dedication to her craft have solidified her reputation as a creative professional in the tattoo industry.
