Rick Wilson, also known by his honorary title Horioka, is the respected founder of Kensho Tattoo Company, located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Having begun his tattooing career in the fall of 2001, Rick harbors an intense passion for the traditional Japanese style, diligently studying its meanings and traditions. A significant milestone in his journey occurred in 2020 when he was invited to join the esteemed Kisaragi Horikoi tattoo family of Toyohashi, Japan, where he continues to learn extensively with Master Kisaragi and other family members. In 2021, he was granted the honorary title HORIOKA. Established in 2015, Kensho Tattoo Company, under Rick’s vision, emphasizes quality, comfort, and tattoo excellence, meticulously considering how each piece flows with the body and ages throughout a client’s life.
