Ricky Borchert is the Owner and Head Tattoo Artist at Black Hatchet Tattoo Co. With a Bachelor’s of Fine Art from Paier College of Art, Ricky initially pursued art education before discovering his true passion in tattooing. He began his tattooing career as an apprentice under the shop’s former owner, Megan Jean Morris, in 2011 when the studio first opened. Since June 2017, he has co-owned the shop with his wife, Katrina. Ricky specializes in black and grey realism, with a particular enjoyment for horror-themed designs and portraits. Outside of the studio, he cherishes time with his two young children and skateboarding with friends.
