Robo is a highly experienced tattoo artist and the driving force behind Element 6 Custom Tattooing. With an artistic journey that began at age seven and spans over half a century of life, he has dedicated more than half his life to the craft of tattooing. His early inspirations included wildlife painters and watercolor techniques, evolving from natural subjects to the bold aesthetics found in various publications. After an extensive apprenticeship and an eight-year tenure at Lower East Side Studios and Abstract Arts Tattoo, where he trained under the guidance of influential figures such as Stu Kay and Lyle Tuttle, Robo further developed his skills across various esteemed studios. He is celebrated for creating deeply personal and unforgettable marks, often serving as rites of passage or expressions of culture and history. Robo also specializes in the retooling and restoration of existing tattoos, approaching each project with a commitment to indelible artistry and engaging his clients in memorable conversations.
