Sydney McKenna is a dedicated tattoo artist and the creative force behind HrtShpdFruit (pronounced heart-shaped fruit), located in Kamloops, BC, Canada, on the unceded and unsurrendered territory of the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Printmaking obtained in 2016, she brings a robust artistic foundation to her tattooing practice, which she commenced in 2020 after an apprenticeship at Mystic Moon Tattoos. Sydney specializes in blackwork illustrative with medium and thin linework, excelling in designs featuring florals and fauna, botanical elements, anime, video game themes, and animals. She is committed to creating a comfortable and safe environment for her clients, emphasizing an eco-conscious approach by utilizing biodegradable or compostable plastics whenever possible. Beyond tattooing, Sydney is also a skilled printmaker and pyrographer, often selling her unique prints and wood burnings at local markets.
