Todd is a highly experienced tattoo artist and co-founder of Salty Sloth Tattoo in Redding, CA. With a career in body modification spanning nearly four decades, Todd brings a profound depth of experience to his craft. His journey began in the 1980s, followed by service in the US Navy as a hospital corpsman in the early 1990s. This led him to open his first studio, Primitive Innovation Studios, in Chicago in 1994, and co-found Crossroads in Iowa City in 1996.
An innovator in the body art community, Todd patented unique piercing holders while operating Stigma in Mission Beach, San Diego, established in 1999. He further honed his tattooing skills for 11 years at Velvet Grip Family Tattoo & Piercing studio after launching Velvet Grip Family Irons and Todd & Tanq in Hollywood in 2004.
Demonstrating remarkable resilience after losing his home in the Paradise Fire of 2018, Todd, alongside Karis, opened The Salty Sloth Tattoo Studio in 2023. At Salty Sloth Tattoo, he continues to apply his extensive artistry and dedication to creating exceptional tattoo work.
